After the grants, how much do you actually pay?
The question nobody answers. Works funded at 56% can still require 80% of the price in cash, because the biggest grant only arrives after completion. That gap is what kills projects that were already approved.
Why cash matters more than the funding rate
Most European schemes cap between 40 and 70% of the cost and pay the balance after completion, against a paid invoice. You pay the contractor first and get reimbursed later. A project can be approved, funded past half, and still fail because nobody told the applicant how much to front, or for how long.
